Horse Feathers

Hello Fellows,

Firstly, I would just like to apologize for my lack of bloggage lately. Unfortunately, school has started, and this means that I have less time to just lay around listening to music and writing about it. Hopefully, things will cool down soon and I will have more time to blog. Anyways, I have been listening to a lot of this band lately called Horse Feathers. I think I have actually fallen in love with their music. If you want to know what the music sounds like you can pretty much just take a look at the picture posted above. Lots of beautiful violin, guitar, banjo and other wonderful instruments, all accentuating lead singer and primary songwriter, Justin Ringle’s amazing voice. And wouldn’t you know it, they are from Portland, Oregon. That city produces some fine musicians. I have litterally been listening to this band exclusively for the past 2 days. My favourite songs so far are “This is What” and “Rude to Rile”. These two songs are on their brand new LP entitled, House With No Home. I strongly recommend you pick it up. It will most likely be my album of the fall.

Here are some samples from their new album:

Horse Feathers – This is What

Horse Feathers – Rude To Rile

And here is a video of them performing the song “Finch on Saturday” live:
