A letter from Safe Space NYC
We were recently contacted by the kind folks at Safe Space NYC, with a nice letter of thanks. It was so nice to hear from them. Thank you Cailin, for getting in touch!
Dear Yellow Bird Project,
Â
Safe Space is extremely honored that you have included us in your initiative to promote awareness and raise funds for our organization. It is the consideration and active interest of organizations like you that allow us to continue to offer a second chance to those in need.
Â
It was only last weekend that a close friend of mine introduced The National to me. You can imagine how thrilled I was to learn, only a few days after the fact, that this Brooklyn-based band was supporting the charity I work for by selling t-shirts through YBP!
Â
To both The National and the Yellow Bird Project: Thank you so much for helping to support Safe Space’s mission: to protect kids, keep them safe and help them grow.
Â
At Safe Space, we believe that all children deserve to grow up healthy and safe, and we ensure this through early intervention. We work with New York City’s most disadvantaged and at-risk children and families to prevent foster care placement, support and strengthen family units and promote economic stability. For more than 89 years, our agency has served youth and families throughout Queens and Manhattan through an integrated system of progressive programming that encompass Children & Family Services, Young Adult Services and Community Health services. Through this continuum, we provide counseling, education and support services in an effort to accomplish our mission.
